I've had my CCW for years. And, I have three guns already registered with the County as required here in Las Vegas. So, today I went down to get my new revolver registered, and qualify for having it added to my CCW permit.
At the police station I was the only one there. Nonetheless, I spent more than 40 minutes sitting and waiting. They misspelled the street name on the paper work. They got the gun manufacturer and model name wrong. They handed me a form to fill out with grammatical errors on it. They misread the serial number on the gun. And, they had me remove the grips for no reason. I got my registration, and was grateful to get out of there without being injured.
Then I went to a privately owned gun shop. There the gun was inspected, the necessary information was recorded, I shot a box of ammo under the observation of an instructor, and the instructor's certification was issued to me, all in under 10 minutes. What a difference!
Government screws up everything it gets into.
Good help is hard to find, I guess.
